Summer camp is underway – eight weeks of fun, friends and learning.
BGCCC’s 2014 Summer Camp began on June 23rd, as soon as school closed. Now, every week, campers are working together on a new theme that guides their activities like computer research and art projects.
Week 1 activities challenged campers and staff to BE GREAT; BE YOU and focused on team-building, leadership and anti-bullying skills.
Week 2’s focus was JERSEY PRIDE. From learning a recipe featuring jersey tomatoes to visiting a local farm, they’re worked on projects to present next week. Camden Resident and gardener Baleeia Baker made a visit to the Club to share her wisdom and prepare a special snack.
This week, campers GO GREEN. What amazing things will they come up with? Stay tuned!
